Pencil on Paper Gallery is an art gallery and studio that services both local and national artists through art exhibitions and events. Pencil on Paper Gallery also specializes in art education for students of all ages and helps to highlight the importance of mindfulness education to a worldwide community while fostering a love and appreciation for the arts.
Studio in Art classes are for kids, teens and adults. These courses are designed to provide a foundation for enrichment in the arts and help to foster a lifelong love of creating. Emphasis is placed on the understanding the Elements of Art and Principles of Design as a basis for composition. Students in these classes explore drawing and painting.
Yoga & Art is designed to help each practitioner understand the direct relationship to health and exercise through the whole body and mind, while collectively zoning in on their artistic side. This beginner class will establish a solid foundation for the practice of yoga and instill confidence through artistic practice. Children will practice yoga salutations and work through gentle stretches to build strength and flexibility. Students are able to express themselves creatively through art. This class will aim to promote inner calm and focus while providing a safe haven to relax, have fun, and make art!
This advanced one and a half hour class is designed to assess and assist students whom are interested in pursuing art in college and beyond. This class entails drawing, painting and mixed media. Students are exposed to techniques in refining their artistic processes while collaborating with instructors to generate a successful studio art portfolio.
Crash course to drawing the love model with Erica Kalish. Students will learn drawing/sketching technique while working to understand form when it comes to the human body. Perfect for all levels and abilities! Minors will need to sign a consent form as our model will be unclothed. Advanced registration is encouraged. Weekly classes meet every Sunday at 10am.
